Greetings Sorors and Friends!

On behalf of the members of the Albany (NY) Alumnae Chapter (ANYAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I welcome you to our website.  We are pleased that you have taken the time to visit, and hope that you become better acquainted with our chapter and the service that we provide to our community.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University by twenty-two courageous women who aspired to dedicate themselves to sisterhood, scholarship and service.

From the time of our chapter chartering in 1967, we have continuously provided community outreach, encouraged social action, provided youth programming, and hosted signature events.  We have served the Capital District community by advancing the vision set forth by our 22 Founders over 100 years ago.    

Our chapter programs and public service initiatives are rooted in our National organization’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of Economic Development, Educational Development, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness and Involvement.  It is our mission to enhance, elevate, and empower our communities. 

Our theme for the next biennium is “A Chapter Who SEES”; one that Strives to Equip, Encourage and Serve the community.  We hope that you will return to our website frequently, follow us on all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) to obtain information on our upcoming events and identify opportunities to support our efforts in positively impacting the communities we serve. We believe in the power of collaboration and welcome opportunities to partner with organizations that align with our mission and goals.

For over 50 years, community support, partnership and engagement has assisted our chapter in making an intentional positive impact throughout the Capital District.  We thank you for visiting our website and we thank you in advance for your continued support.
