The Majority Minority Redistricting Subcommittee

As some of you may be aware, Albany County is engaged in the redistricting process. The County's process is separate from the State process that has been garnering much press. Albany County appointed a nine person commission, the Albany County Redistricting Commission("ACRC") and a seven member subcommittee of the Commission, the Majority Minority Redistricting Subcommittee ("MMD").

Redistricting is done every ten years after the Census. Redistricting determines what district you are assigned to vote, based upon where you live, but more importantly whether you may be able to elect the candidate of your choice. In addition to its redistricting responsibilities, the MMD wants to assess the needs of Albany County residents.   Please assist us in this process by taking our brief survey. It can be accessed by the QR Code on the flyer. More information about the MMD may be found on the Albany County Redistricting Commission website, https://www.albanycounty.com/government/redistricting-commission/majority-minority-redistricting-subcommittee-mmd

If you residen in Albany County please assist in this effort by completing the survey.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter,

    The Majority Minority Redistricting Subcommittee
